Evidence That Accumulates
as the Work Happens.
The evidence is gathered as the work happens, instead of being reconstructed before a visit. The full detail of what the record holds for each course is available on request.
The problem, stated plainly
Most Institutions Do Not Have an Evidence Problem. They Have a Reconstruction Problem.
The work was done. The course was reviewed, the committee met, the outcome was mapped, someone approved it. What is missing is not the governance. It is the durable trace of the governance, in one place, with dates attached.
So review cycles tend to begin with an archaeology project: emails, shared drives, committee minutes, and the memory of people who may have left. The evidence gets assembled, the visit goes fine, and the whole exercise repeats in five years because little about the underlying process changed.
CMP does not add a compliance layer on top of the work. It records the work as it happens, so evidence is a byproduct of governing the catalog rather than a project that precedes a visit.
Reconstructed vs. accumulated
The full detail
See What the Record Holds, Course by Course.
The full Show Your Work detail is available on request. It covers four things.
- Seven things the record holds for each course, what each means in practice, and the question it answers.
- How quality is checked before release, and what stops a course from publishing until the checks pass.
- How thin spots surface before a review team finds them.
- Four moments this saves in an institution's year.

Beyond accreditation
Currency Is Not a Compliance Topic.
Keeping courses current gets filed under accreditation because that is where its absence is discovered. That is the wrong home for it. Course change is an operating discipline with an operating cost, and it recurs whether or not anyone is visiting.
An accreditor is one of several audiences that benefit from a current catalog. Students, employers, and transfer partners are the others, and they check more often.
Available on request
We ask institutions to show their work. This page is part of ours.
If you want the underlying detail, request it and we will send it: what fields the record carries, what the export contains, and how the audit trail is structured.
